A few weeks ago we went to the National Zoo with our good friend, Lori Durbin.  Lori is an adventurous soul – always up for an outing – even with three little people.  Her company made the morning possible.  We had a great time!  And the favorites for the girls?  The Lions (the girls are watching them intently from the elevated glass window), the Tiger (just one – who roared frequently for his lunch and must have heard all three girls “roaring” in return), and the Panda Bears (seen to the right of Lori and Eliza – who were extremely playful).  It was such a fun day!  Thanks for making time for us Lori, for your happy spirit, excellent conversation (and book recommendations).  We love you!

Cath

Five children in four years, including two sets of twins, brought new meaning to Mary Oliver's earnest question. Our little people aren't so little anymore, but life is still wild, still precious. And this is my meager attempt to hold on, make it last. I love Doug, running, hiking in the mountains, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, the edge of an ocean, and connecting with you here. So happy to have you along.
