Jump! Kesler Style

July 23, 2010 17 Comments

Check this out. A music video “starring” my cousins (The Keslers). My girls have already watched it three times.

We’re talking serious fun at the lake.

I can’t imagine the hours of choreography and execution! Oh wait, that’s if my family tried to pull this off. Knowing them it probably took less than an hour. My Aunt (dancer extraordinaire) and Uncle (masterful guitar solo on the oar) make no shabby contribution. And kudos to those little grand-kids for jumping off the dock.

Family reunions were often at this beautiful spot in Island Park. One summer while water-skiing I punctured my ear drum trying to drop a ski. Another time I went out in a canoe alone and got stranded trying to paddle back to the cabin during a storm. But mostly, my memories are of good times like this – hanging out by the dock, laughing together.

View this little diddy and you’ll see why we had so many laughs. These guys are hilarious! And yes, I think you have to be beautiful/handsome, talented, and unintimidated to be part of their clan.

Here’s to the awesomeness of families. The place we can be ourselves.

Cath

Five children in four years, including two sets of twins, brought new meaning to Mary Oliver's earnest question. Our little people aren't so little anymore, but life is still wild, still precious. And this is my meager attempt to hold on, make it last. I love Doug, running, hiking in the mountains, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, the edge of an ocean, and connecting with you here. So happy to have you along.

Jill – Ummmm… no. That would be a no for the Arvy boys. But it's an entertaining thought! Maybe if we did the Van Halen version?

Bec – I thought you'd like this. Do you think our family could pull it off?

Alia watched this video tonight, and then she said, "Mom and Dad, you HAVE to watch this!" We've been laughing about it (and planning what song we're going to do next summer). Thanks for the fun videos!
